Debra was so happy that her son was able to be independent to make cookies.

But Sarah, how are these recipes different to any other kids recipe out there?
What I have learnt from using recipes with kids in a classroom and with my own kids, is that although we are being told 'recipes are great for kids reading' and 'they can learn so many skills from cooking', even kids recipes are not broken down enough for them to follow.
For a 5-year old that's a lot of brain power to work out.

So that's why these are recipes that kids can truly read. With phonics practice built-in and every single step being one action.
They are not just recipes for kids, but powerful real-life learning resources.
